We travelled back from France today arriving home early evening. With nothing in the fridge I reached for a frozen home made ready meal ...
I have mentioned homemade ready meals in a couple of posts but have never really explained them ... I thought I would write about them as they are very simple to make and enable you to put a meal on the table when like today ... after two airports, tired children and bad traffic back from Gatwick ... cooking from scratch is not an option.
READY MEALS EXPLAINED
When I cook the meals below, I tend to make double quantities. I then freeze the extra portions in oven proof dishes or disposable metal trays with cardboard lids (that you tend to get indian take away in) ... I buy them from my local pound shop.
WHERE TO FIND THE RECIPES
Each of the recipes below can be found in the categories section of my blog. They are written so you can make between 10 and 12 portions from each recipe. I then give instructions, in the cooking notes, for reheating the food.
RECIPES FOR HOMEMADE READY MEALS
